As followers of Jesus Christ of the Presbyterian Church (USA), our historic beliefs are described in detail in the confessions of the church collected in our Book of Confessions.  Far more briefly, this is what we Christians of The First Presbyterian Church of Corning, NY believe:

• We trust in the loving grace of God the creator of everything, who made all human beings in the image of God and entrusts us with stewardship over all creation. 
   
• We trust in the loving grace of God given through faith in Jesus Christ, who, being fully God and fully human, taught how to walk in the way of the Lord. and who died and rose from the dead to reconcile sinners like us to God and one another.
   
• We trust in the loving grace of God given through the Holy Spirit, who empowers all followers of Jesus Christ to live lives of grateful discipleship and loving service as part of God's beloved community, the church.
