First Presbyterian has joined a network of religious centers that support the Family Counseling Ministry. FCM is administered by representatives of the Susquehanna Association of the United Church of Christ and has an office above our Fellowship Hall. FCM provides spiritually-sensitive counseling on a sliding fee scale. Our local counselor is Rev. Abigail Zang Hoffman, MDiv, MA.  She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and is an ordained minister of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

The Counseling Ministry is for those who:

* are anxious or feel dissatisfied with their life;
* have difficulties in personal relationships;
* have marital problems;
* have problems with their children;
* want counseling in preparation for marriage or a committed relationship;
* are older adults confronting life changes.
* are dealing with grief, trauma or other crises.
